Daily Rebus Puzzle — Two Pictures, One Word
Rebus is the daily picture puzzle: two little hand-drawn pixel pictures that smash together into a single word. STAR + FISH is the tutorial example; the daily ones get slyer — sometimes the pictures are the word's halves, sometimes they're a pun on how it sounds.
You get three guesses, typed as one word. Miss twice and a hint appears — the game deciding you've earned a nudge, not you spending one. Solve it on your very first guess and the day is a clean ace; with the hint or a retry it still counts. The pictures are hand-authored pixel art, drawn in the same style as everything else on Blip Party — no two days feel stamped from a template.
▶ Play today’s RebusHow the daily Rebus works
1.Read the pictures
Two pixel images, joined by a plus sign. Name each one to yourself first — literally, out loud if you have to — because the answer is almost always those two names welded together or bent into a sound-alike.
2.Type one word
Answers are a single word, no spaces. Spelling counts but close variants are accepted where they're fair — the game is about seeing the mash-up, not spelling-bee precision.
3.Three guesses, hint after two
A wrong guess stays on the board so you don't repeat it. After the second miss, a written hint appears. First-guess solves score the clean ace; hint-assisted solves count in yellow; three misses reveals the answer and takes the day as a miss.
Tips
- Say the two picture names aloud in both orders — half of all rebus answers only click when heard, not seen.
- If a picture could be two things (a boat? a ship?), try the guess that makes a real compound word first.
- Don't burn guess two on a variant spelling of guess one. A different reading of the pictures is worth more than the same reading spelled differently.
- The hint after two misses usually describes the answer, not the pictures — re-read the images through it.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the daily rebus free?
- Yes — free in your browser, no app, no sign-up. It's part of Blip Party's daily puzzle section.
- When does a new rebus come out?
- Every day at 00:00 UTC, the same puzzle for everyone.
- Are the answers always compound words?
- Often but not always — some days the two pictures spell a sound-alike rather than a literal compound. If the literal weld isn't a word, say it out loud.
- Do I need an account to keep a streak?
- No. A guest session starts automatically and your streak lives on this device; claim a free account later and it carries over everywhere.
- Where do the pictures come from?
- Every image is hand-authored pixel art made for the game — the same house style as the rest of Blip Party, never AI-generated or stock art.
