Quiz Hero is Blip Party's trivia game: a shared deck of four-option questions, everybody answering at once on their own screen, and a clock that pays you for being quick as well as right. It's the game to open a night with — no rules to explain, and everyone already knows how to play.
It runs entirely in the browser. The host picks a category and a question count, everyone else joins by typing a 4-letter room code on their own phone, and the questions appear on every screen simultaneously. Nobody installs anything, and only the host needs to make any decisions.

How to play Quiz Hero
The host opens a room
Hit start on Quiz Hero and you get a 4-letter room code plus a QR code. Share either one — the code is short enough to read out over a call, and the QR is faster if everyone's in the same room.
Everyone joins on their own device
Players type the code at blipparty.com, pick a name and a Blip avatar, and land in the lobby. Joining is free and needs no account: your progress is saved to the device, and you can claim a real account later without losing it.
The host sets the category and length
Before starting, the host picks the categories, how many questions to play, a difficulty (easy, mixed or hard) and the Pace setting, which makes every timer longer or shorter. Game Setup also has switches for the extras: the final wager, power-ups, last place picking categories, hidden scores at the end, team mode, and a no-speed-points mode for mixed-age groups.
Answer before the timer runs out
Each question shows the same four options on every screen. Tap one to lock it in — you can't change it, so the tension is real. The timer bar across the top is the same clock for everybody, and the round closes the moment it empties or everyone has locked in.
The reveal, then the next question
The correct answer lights up, you see what you scored, and the scoreboard reshuffles in front of everyone. After a short pause the next question loads automatically — the host can skip ahead early if the room is impatient.

How scoring works
A correct answer is worth 500 points if the question is easy, 700 if it's medium and 900 if it's hard, plus up to 300 more for speed. Being right matters far more than being first. A wrong answer scores nothing, so a guess always beats a blank. With no-speed-points switched on, every correct answer gets a flat 150 instead of the speed bonus.
Correct answers in a row build a streak. Each one adds 0.1× to your next score, up to 1.5× at six in a row. Get one wrong and the streak goes back to zero.
When someone on a streak of three or more gets a question wrong, everyone who got it right earns 300 extra points. The player who's on fire is the one everybody wants to see slip.
The last fifth of the questions (the last 2 of 10, the last 4 of 20) are worth double, and the scoreboard is hidden during them, so nobody knows who's winning until the end.
Before the last question, everyone places a bet. You see the category but not the question. Get it right and you win your bet on top of your points, get it wrong and you lose it. You can bet everything you have, and everyone can bet at least 500, even with a low score.
Twice a game, the player in last place picks the category for the next question from three options.
Each player also has three power-ups, one use each per game: 50/50 hides two wrong answers (only you see it), Double-down doubles your points if you're right but costs 300 if you're wrong, and Shield stops a wrong answer from breaking your streak. Everyone sees who used what on the reveal.
In team mode, players split into Red and Blue. A team's score is the average of its players, so a team of three doesn't beat a team of two just by being bigger.
Tips for winning Quiz Hero
- Take a second to be sure. Speed is only worth up to 300 points, and a wrong answer resets your streak.
- If you're guessing anyway, guess straight away. A wrong answer costs nothing, and a quick lucky guess keeps the speed points.
- Don't give up when you're behind. The double-points questions, the streak-breaker bonus and a big final bet can all turn a game around.
- Save Double-down for a category you know well, and Shield for when you're on a long streak.
- Hosting for a mixed group? Pick a general category rather than a specialist one — a category where one player knows everything ends the game as a contest by question three.
