Poll Star is the family-survey format: six of the answers most people give to a question are hidden on a board in front of you, ranked from most to least popular.
You race the clock naming as many as you can. The most popular answer is worth the most, but the deep cuts are where rounds are won — and unlike the TV version, everyone plays every round rather than waiting for a buzzer.

How to play Poll Star
The host picks the round count
Eight rounds is the default. The Pace setting in the lobby decides how long each round runs.
A survey prompt drops
'Name something people forget to pack.' Six answers are hidden on the board.
Type answers against the clock
Keep guessing for the whole round — there's no lock-in and no penalty for a miss.
Hits reveal by rank
Each correct answer flips over in its slot, so you can see how popular it was and how many are left.
The board is revealed
When the clock stops the remaining answers are shown, along with everything you should have thought of.

There's no penalty for a wrong guess, so the correct strategy is to keep firing for the full round.
Points accumulate across rounds. Finding the obscure answers is what separates a good round from an average one, since almost everyone finds the obvious one.
Tips for winning Poll Star
- Fire the obvious answer immediately, then move on. Everyone gets it, so the time you spend on it is the real cost.
- Think about what most people would say, not what's correct. The board rewards the popular answer, not the accurate one.
- Say categories out loud in your head — food, clothing, documents — to shake loose the deep cuts.
- Keep typing until the buzzer. There's no downside, and the last two slots are worth the most relative to how often they're found.

No. Plurals, a dropped "the", a small typo and the main word of a longer answer all count, so "alarm" finds "Alarm clock".
