How scoring works
Votes are the score, and because each sentence is built from four players' blanks, a winning line pays everyone who contributed to it.
That shared credit is what makes the game feel collaborative even though there's a scoreboard — you can win points off a sentence you only wrote a quarter of.
Points accumulate across rounds and the highest total wins.
Tips for winning Mishmash
- Write each blank to be funny on its own. It won't be sitting next to your other three, so internal consistency is wasted effort.
- Go specific and concrete. Vague words disappear inside a stitched sentence; strange nouns survive anything.
- Vary your four. Four blanks in the same joke register produce four forgettable fragments.
- Don't try to be coherent with the skeleton. The comedy comes from the collision, not from the fit.
