How to play Libs
The host picks the round count
Six rounds is the default; four is quick and eight is a full session.
You're asked for five words
Just parts of speech — noun, adjective, verb, and so on. No context, no preview, no hints about the story.
Everyone fills theirs in blind

The stories are assembled
Each player's words are dropped into the same hidden template, producing one finished tale per player.
Vote for the funniest
All the completed stories come back and the room votes. The reveal crowns the best wreck.

How scoring works
Votes are the score: every vote your story collects banks points, so the game is judged on comedy alone.
You can't vote for your own story.
Points accumulate over the rounds and the highest total wins. Because the template is the same for everyone, the scoreboard is a fair comparison of word choices.
Tips for winning Libs
- Pick specific nouns. 'Aunt Deborah' is funnier than 'woman' in every template that exists.
- Go concrete on adjectives too — physical and absurd beats emotional and vague.
- Don't try to guess the story. You can't, and words chosen to 'fit' land flatter than words chosen to be ridiculous.
- Vary your registers. Five words in the same joke style produce a monotone story.
