Daily Jigsaw Puzzle — a Free Online Jigsaw Every Day
The daily jigsaw is the calm end of the daily run: one picture, cut into roughly 36 properly interlocking pieces — real tabs and blanks, not squares — scattered across the board. Drag a piece close to where it belongs and it clicks home and stays there. Fill the frame and the picture (and its title) is yours for the day.
There is deliberately no clock. The board autosaves every piece you place, so a jigsaw started over morning coffee can be finished on the evening commute — placed pieces are still exactly where you left them. Everyone in the world gets the same cut of the same picture, and a fresh one drops at midnight UTC.
▶ Play today’s JigsawHow the daily Jigsaw works
1.Scan the scatter
The pieces start loose around the frame, with a faint ghost of the finished picture behind them as a guide. Edges and corners are as findable here as on a table — straight sides only ever live on the border.
2.Drag pieces home
Pick up any piece and drop it near its spot — close enough snaps it in, and a snapped piece is locked for good, so you can never un-solve your own progress. Work by colour, by edge, or by pure stubbornness; the board doesn't care.
3.Finish the picture
Place the last piece and the day is done — a finished jigsaw always scores as the clean green result, however long it took. Truly out of patience? You can give the day up, which scores a miss but keeps the rest of your daily run moving.
Tips
- Do the border first. It's the oldest jigsaw advice there is, and on a 36-piece daily it takes two minutes and anchors everything else.
- Use the ghost image. The faint preview behind the frame is a placement guide — a piece's colours tell you which region to hover over before you drop it.
- Pieces on top of pieces get lost. Drag the pile apart at the start; the tray around the frame is bigger than it looks.
- On a phone, zoom the page like any other pinch-zoom — the board is one canvas and stays crisp.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the daily jigsaw puzzle free?
- Yes — free in the browser, no app and no account required. It's one of Blip Party's free daily puzzles.
- When does a new jigsaw drop?
- Every day at 00:00 UTC — the same picture, cut the same way, for everyone worldwide.
- Does my progress save?
- Yes. Every placed piece saves automatically, so you can close the tab, switch devices, or come back hours later and the board picks up where you left it. Loose pieces re-scatter; placed ones never move.
- How many pieces is it?
- About 36 — the exact grid depends on the picture's shape. Enough to be a real jigsaw, small enough to finish over a coffee.
- Is there a time limit?
- No. The daily jigsaw is untimed on purpose — it's the wind-down puzzle of the set, and a finished board is a clean solve whether it took six minutes or six hours.
