Parlay splits every round in two. First everyone privately guesses a number. Then the guesses come back anonymously with odds attached, and you bet on which one you think is closest.
That second half is why it's the best estimation game for a group with mixed knowledge: you can guess terribly and still clean up, as long as you can spot who in the room actually knew the answer.

How to play Parlay
The host picks the round count
Eight rounds is the default. Six is quick; twelve is a long session.
Everyone guesses privately
A numeric question drops and you type your estimate. Nobody sees anyone else's yet.
The guesses come back with odds
Distinct guesses are laid out anonymously. Middle-of-the-pack guesses are safe bets; outliers carry big payouts.
Bet on the closest
Back the guess you think will land nearest the truth. This is where the arguing happens, and it's why a call helps.
The answer lands
The closest guess is revealed along with who made it and who backed it.

How scoring works
You score both for guessing well and for betting well, and the two are independent — a bad guess paired with a smart bet is a perfectly good round.
Odds are set by how unusual a guess is, so backing an outlier that turns out to be right pays far more than backing the safe middle.
Points accumulate across rounds. Because betting is the bigger lever, the leaderboard rewards reading the room over knowing the facts.
Tips for winning Parlay
- Bet against the crowd when you have a reason. The safe middle guess is priced as safe, so backing it rarely wins you a game.
- Work out who guessed what. If you can identify the one person who actually knows the topic, follow their number.
- Your own guess isn't automatically the best bet. Backing it out of pride is the most common way people lose here.
- Talk it out. The argument about whose guess is plausible is the game — muted, you're just picking numbers.
